Skating for Self: A Fun and Free Community Event!

Looking for a way to release stress, connect with others, and enjoy some fun on wheels? Join us for Skating for Self, an exciting community event designed to bring people together while reducing conflict and promoting well-being!

Skating for Self is all about fostering community connections, relieving stress, and creating a positive space for everyone. Whether you're an experienced skater or just looking for a fun night out, this event is perfect for all ages.

This event is brought to you in partnership with NAMI Greater Indianapolis, Genesys Solutions, and Stop the Violence Indianapolis. Together, we're working to make a difference in our community.

This event serves as a guided exploration of mental health and substance use, focusing on their interconnectedness and how they influence one another. By engaging in meaningful reflections and conversations, youth will learn how mental health challenges can lead to substance use as a coping mechanism and how substance use can exacerbate mental health issues. Designed for an outdoor community setting, this event promotes understanding, awareness, and support in a safe and interactive environment for teens ages 13-18. Through engaging activities and discussions, participants will have the opportunity to express their thoughts, share experiences, and gain valuable insights to navigate these critical aspects of their lives.

MHFA CERTIFICATION Training!

​This in-person training will teach you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health challenges in teens (ages 12-18). You’ll gain skills to support youth and apply the MHFA Action Plan (ALGEE).
​
Limited Spots Available! Only 10 participants will be accepted to ensure personalized attention. Participants will receive a certificate of completion.

Resilience Canvas Healing Circles (RCHC) are 4-week sessions that blends creative expression with healing circles...a time-honored tradition that brings people together in a safe space for open conversation, mutual respect, and collective healing.

Through art and dialogue, we’ll build emotional resilience, strengthen community bonds, and develop skills to navigate life’s challenges. Whether you’re a student or part of the community, RCHC offers a welcoming environment where everyone can grow, share, and heal together.
